Purple Bridge: Connecting BORA and Polygon

Introducing our latest blockchain bridge

SOOHO.IO has launched a new bridge service that enables interoperability between the BORA and Polygon networks.

With Purple Bridge, users can move assets between the two networks and access the capabilities of each, opening up new ways to use their holdings.

How the bridge works

The following steps explain how Purple Bridge converts tBORA on BORA into pBORA on Polygon.

User request: A user requests the conversion of tBORA into pBORA through Purple Bridge.
Lock tBORA on BORA: Once the request is accepted, a smart contract locks the tBORA on the BORA network.
Transmit the message: C2CC, an omnichain messaging protocol, sends the request to Polygon.
Mint pBORA on Polygon: After the message is verified, a smart contract mints pBORA to the user’s Polygon wallet. The pBORA represents the assets locked on BORA.

The reverse process burns pBORA on Polygon and releases the corresponding tBORA on BORA.

Mini DEX capabilities

Purple Bridge includes a Mini DEX that gives users additional ways to use pBORA on Polygon.

Swaps: Exchange pBORA and USDC through the decentralized exchange.
Liquidity provision: Deposit pBORA and USDC into the pBORA–USDC pool and receive liquidity provider (LP) tokens. Users can redeem their LP tokens and receive rewards associated with their contribution to the pool.

The underlying technology

Purple Bridge uses SOOHO.IO’s proprietary omnichain technology, C2CC, to improve security and availability. C2CC transmits different types of messages between chains and verifies their validity.

C2CC connects multiple blockchain networks, giving users and developers access to a wider range of decentralized applications and services. Asset transfers are only the starting point: C2CC supports secure, seamless transmission of many types of messages across chains.

Purple Bridge has also undergone a security audit by SOOHO.IO’s in-house security team.
